We normally meet every Thursday in Mojacar, from 1pm, at Cerveceria Asuntxu,
any different Thursday venue/event will be listed below with all other events.

Feb 25th - Hotel Puntazo 1pm - Get together and a film
Feb 28th (Dia de Andalucia) there is a novillada in Huercal-Overa with Miguel Angel Moreno, Conchi Rios
and Gallo Chico who dedicated his bull to the club when we went to Huescar.
If you are interested in travelling by coach, please contact us immediately so that we can make arrangements
should sufficient members wish to travel this way, otherwise, perhaps members would be willing to car share
OR
watch corrida from San Lucar de Barrameda 6pm at our house. Cartel - Jesulin de Ubrique, Rivera Ordonez
and El Cid. If interested please let us know as limited space in our house.

Mar 5th/6th/7th - Olivenza - 2010 20th anniversary
We have been fortunate in being able to obtain some abonos for this prestigious corrida. These abonos will be
for the 5th, 6th and 7th March and facing the bulls of Fuente Yinbro. On March 5th will be the novilleros, Paco
Chavez, Juan del Alamo, and Diego Silveti. 6th & 7th March the cartels will consist of- Jose Thomas, Enrique
Ponce, El Juli, Morante de La Puebla, Cayetano and Alejandre Talavante. Not sure on which days, but what
an array of talent!?
It is envisaged that travel will be by car with 4 sharing as we have a limited number of abonos, as you may well
imagine.

Mar14th - Mothering Sunday - Lunch at Osteria 1:30pm . Cost 15 euros including wine. please book if

March Sat-Sun 27th/28th - visit to Ganaderia - This is the rescheduled visit to the famous ganaderia of
Nunez del Cuvillo proposed by the Deputy Mayor of Mojacar. The "Visit to a Ganaderia", (originally
advertised for March 5/6th), as confirmed today by Angel Medina, will now take place over the weekend, this
means that we shall be leaving on SATURDAY 27th March at 8.00am from the Tourist Information Office on
the playa adjacent to the Parque Comercial and returning on SUNDAY March 28th at approx 10pm.
We hope that the slight change will now enable any 'workers' amongst our members to be able to join us.
Apart from the usual "comfort stops" we shall be stopping for lunch at approx 1pm until 2.30hrs, and arriving
at Vejer at approx 4.30pm. Following checking into the Hotel Janda we are invited to a short conducted tour
around the village to get our bearings.
Dinner that evening will be in the hotel and the remainder of the evening will be "free time.".
After breakfast at the hotel next morning, it will be off by coach at 10.00hrs to the ganaderia for a tour. Lunch
at the ganaderia is scheduled for 13.00hrs and we leave for home at 15.30hrs so it promises to be a typical
Spanish fiesta.!!!!!! Our scheduled time of arrival back at Mojacar will be 22.00hrs.
Friday and Saturday the 26/27 March. The price for this trip will be 125€ including travel to Vejer de la
Fontera, accommodation, food and the visit to the ganaderia of Nunez del Cuvillo. Following the original
announcement of this trip, Audrey compiled a list of over 50 names of those interested and in fact it was
oversubscribed. With the changed dates and price would those still interested please reconfirm
to reserve their places, with a deposit payment of 50€.

May 31/June 6th - Spain in party mood - visit to Granada for the Feria de Corpus Christi
Good news for those of you who have already signed to go on the 7 day trip to Granada and we hope, of interest
to others who are considering it. After further negotiations with the hotel we can now pass on a substantial
saving to our members and friends. The original price of 395 euros has been slashed to 299 euros
per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. We will stay at the hotel we used in December with the
delightful Andalucian patio. Even in December, we were able to sit and chat over a bottle of wine in the patio.
It should be super in the warmer weather. It would be fantastic to fill this family owned hotel and have virtually
exclusive use of it, as we did before.
